School Uniform

AGREED UNIFORM

NOT ALLOWED

Blazer (boys and girls)

Must be worn in the buildings at all times.  During the summer, blazers can be removed in classrooms at the discretion of the teacher.  No other outdoor clothing may be worn in the building.

Tie (boys & girls)

Ties with House colours must be worn at all times.  Ties must be worn at a length no less than 30 centimetres and be pulled tight to the collar rather than hang loosely.

Shirts (boys & girls)

White shirt with top button fastened.  If the top button is missing, the tie must be fastened in such a way as to make it appear that the top button is fastened. 

Fitted blouses or blouses with a collar unsuitable for wearing a tie.

Jumper (optional) - (boys & girls)

Dark grey, v-neck jumper with school logo.

Trousers (boys)

Black ‘suit style’ trousers.

Pin striped, denim, corduroy, combat or skinny-leg styles.

Trousers (girls)

Smart, classic-style black trousers. 

Pin striped, denim, corduroy, leggings, combat or skinny-leg styles.

Skirts

Black, knee length skirt, plain or pleated. 

No tight, stretchy lycra material. No culottes.

Belts (boys & girls)

Plain, black belt with plain buckle.

Socks (Girls)

Black or Grey. Girls may wear short, plain white socks when wearing a skirt.

Tights

Black tights.

Patterned tights.

Socks (boys & girls)

Black or Grey.

Shoes (boy & girls)

Plain black, polishable, shoes. Short boots may be worn under trousers.

Logos, trainers, plimsolls, long boots or ‘Ugg style’ boots.

Bag

Only bags that are large enough to hold an A4 folder are acceptable.

Hair

No extreme colours – only colours that fall within the natural range of hair colouring.

Hair accessories

Plain black hair band no wider than 2cm, black bobbles and plain slides.

Flowers or wide hair bands.

Jewellery

Watch and one charity band

Earrings, necklaces, chains, body piercings, bracelets anklets and rings.

Make-up

Discrete make-up and clear nail varnish only.  Nail varnish must be removed for catering classes.
