Accelerated Reader Awards
Pupils in years 7, 8 and 9 attended an assembly to receive certificates for Accelerated Reading. Pupils were presented with the following certificates:
Ready Reader: for accumulating 5 points through any combination of Read To, Read With or Read Independently
Independent Reader: for reading independently and passing reading practice quizzes for 3 books at 1.2 ATOS book level or higher and accumulating 10 points (includes for the 3 books; other points may be for Read To and Read With)
Rising Reader: for reading independently and passing reading practice quizzes for 3 books at 1.6 ATOS book level or higher and accumulating 10 points (includes for the 3 books)
Super Reader: for reading independently and passing reading practice quizzes for 3 books at 2.0 ATOS book level or higher worth 1 point or more each
Advanced Reader: for reading independently and passing reading practice quizzes for 3 books at 3.0 ATOS book level or higher worth 2 points or more each
Star Reader: for reading independently and passing reading practice quizzes for 3 books at 4.0 ATOS book level or higher worth 4 points or more each
There were also certificates and prizes for most words read and for the classes with most quizzes passed overall. Well done!
